Build confidence this summer!

Be a STAR in a MUSIC VIDEO!

Camp description

Sing Like A STAR has been offering music lessons for over TWELVE years in Regina and surrounding areas. We teach basic vocal techniques using POPULAR music that the kids enjoy singing!

During this camp, singers will build their confidence through working with our friendly, encouraging singing coaches and make new friends along the way!

Our Summer Camps will teach basic vocal techniques (like in our regular group singing lessons) and basic dance moves (no dance experience required). Each camper will have the chance to sing into a professional recording microphone and record a song with their group, plus participate in the filming of their first ever music video.

Day 1

  • Learn 3 new songs while working on basic vocal techniques

  • Watch a few samples of music videos

  • Talk about the different parts of a music video

  • Vote on which song we want to record our music video for

  • Introduction to basic dance moves

Day 2

  • Practice our main song

  • Learn about how we will record our voices singing using a professional microphone

  • Review two other songs

  • Continue learning dance moves

Day 3

  • Practice our main song

  • Start recording students singing individually

  • Learn about how we will film the scenes for our music video

  • Review two other songs

  • Continue learning dance moves

Day 4

  • Finish recording students singing individually

  • Film scenes for music video (including dance moves)

Day 5

  • Film any remaining scenes needed for music video

  • Review all songs we learned

  • Learn a new song (if there is a time)

About 10 Days Later

Singers will get to see themselves in their first ever music video! Families will be sent a link to view the video. It will also be posted on our website, YouTube channel and social media pages!

*This is only our second time filming a music video with students so we are not 100% sure how long it will take to edit the video following the camp. Based on last year, our goal is to have it finished within one week to ten days.
